Nissa aka RenaissanceMama has decades of experience in a variety of handcrafts and has designed everything from garments to home decor. She is an independent artist, designer, and photographer. She has been cooking since childhood and has been developing recipes for nearly 30 years. She has yet to publish her pamphlets and cookbooks, still in draft and taking up space on the hard drive.
Nissa is also a PINA certified Permaculture designer and teacher, having received her education through Oregon State University, under the tutelage of Andrew Millison and Tao Orion. She designs home-scale and farm-scale projects and is currently directing a 300 acre farm project in Massachusetts and designing an eco-village in Bulgaria for at-risk youth.
Lastly, she is a veteran homeschool teacher with 25 years of experience in a variety of approaches (including Charlotte Mason and school-at-home). Two of her eleven children have significant special needs. Her preferred teaching methods are Montessori and Waldorf.
